Forget 3 Lions, 2 Wheels Are Back At Knockhill

Scottish bike fans will turn their backs on the World Cup this weekend and head for Knockhill as the British Superbike Championship returns to the Fife circuit on the 6th, 7th & 8th of July. If you're already fed up hearing about how it's coming home, why not switch off the TV and head to the home of Scottish motorsport? BSB, what's that then? The BSB Championship is run over twelve rounds at nine different tracks, but only makes the trip north of the border once a year. With

Bikes Are Back

Riders get ready for a new season of Scottish Championship Motorcycle Racing at Knockhill The final pre-season test took place at Knockhill in Fife on Friday, ahead of the 2018 season opener this weekend. It was the last chance for the riders to get themselves and their machines ready for another action packed race calendar. We caught up with two men who will be racing in the Formula 600 class, Jim Purvis from Cowdenbeath and Glasgow's William Bergin, to see how their prepara

Hat-trick Seals Championship for Rollo

Lewis Rollo won four out of the five Superbike races this weekend, including all three KMSC races, to become the youngest ever Knockhill Motorsports Club Superbike champion. The 17 year old Kawasaki rider from Gifford was in blistering form once again, taking one win in Saturday's race, and both on Sunday to wrap up the championship in fine style. Rollo claimed pole position in Saturday's qualifying session with a laptime of 50.834 sec, and finished the weekend with a persona

Dixon takes double win in BSB at Knockhill

Jake Dixon was the surprise package on race day at Knockhill, converting his first ever front row start into a superb flag to flag victory in Superbike race 1 - his first win in only his twelfth ride in the top class. He then followed it up 3 hours later with a battling victory in race 2 to make it a stunning double win for the RAF Kawasaki team. Dixon stepped up to the Superbike class last year, but missed most of the season due to injury. His results so far this season have

Oil spill delays superbike qualifying at Knockhill

The drama of Friday practice continued into qualifying on Saturday, with the Superpole session disrupted thanks to a massive oil spill that covered the entire length of the 1.25 mile circuit. The spill happened on the formation lap for the KTM RC Cup, when the bike of teenager Annabel Mae Thomas sprung a leak while she was making her way to the grid, causing the race to be abandoned while the track was cleaned. The sidecars then took to the track, but it quickly became clear

Spring break over - BSB back at Knockhill

With the early season break over, action in the British Superbike Championship got back underway on Friday with the annual visit to Knockhill for round 4 of the series. It's been a 7 week gap since the last round to allow for the big road racing events in Ireland and the Isle of Man, and the teams and riders were keen to get back on track. The enforced delay was obviously too much for some to bear, with no less the 4 red flags in the very first superbike session of the weeken

Bikes back into action At Knockhill

The long winter break finally came to an end, as the Knockhill Motor Sports Club got underway for the 2017 season. And with racing across seven different classes, there was plenty of action on offer under the spring sunshine. The Superbikes are the premier class, with the most powerful machinery and the top riders. A full grid of championship contenders was supplemented by Newcastle rider Chrissy Rousse, who had brought his Mission Racing BMW to the Fife track for some extra
